Lets Get to It
Now that you are caught up, I would like to talk about what book one is and what book two will be about. Book one introduces you to Mr. No Eyes (later Captain No Eyes) and his friends. No Eyes is looking for a mission. You will find out what that mission is and who he and his men are by the end of the book! In any story, you have to start at the beginning, and that is what we do.
Book Two!
Book two is going to come along, and your child will see that our favorite crew now has an identity. They no longer wander. Captain No Eyes and his men are good pirates with a cool transportation they built themselves from their new home. Now, keep in mind that each book that will come out was, at one time, its own separate bedtime story to the original audience. The original audience has a beard, a goatee, tall, and one of them is no longer my little girl.
This book is also where you will see a pattern emerge. What pattern, you say? You will notice these worthy pirates on the high seas see something that is wrong that they refuse to ignore. They get to work protecting people they don’t know. You will also be made aware that each book will have new characters that will be introduced. After reading each book, your kids will have character traits to consider, learn about, and see how they affect others, good or bad. Each book will have many heroes, but a singular hero that is recognized, and Book Two is no exception.
Conclusion
Just like I did with my kids, you will have the opportunity to answer their questions, teach, and inspire your kids. There will be no cliff hangers, no questionable topics, or agendas. I am not a fan of cliffhangers when children are the original audience. I believe it is a cruel way to sell more books. The content should stand on its own merit, and it will hopefully be a short wait for the next book to come along. I also want to leave the educating to the parent because you know what’s best to share with your child. I hope that you consider any book I write to be entertaining for you and your child to read. My book is honest fun and worth your while, whether it’s saved for a bedtime story or a rainy day.
